Star Control, Auckland's 3-piece masters of Progressive Synthwave, are here to transport you to your own personal montage sequence.
The unique fusion of duelling keytar synths with live drums and electronic beats catapults the listener from a soft-focus slow dance with your cyberpunk sweetheart...
...to a bad trip in an alien disco, before exploding into hyperspace on route to another dimension.
Drawing from a wide pool of musical inspirations, the Star Control sound is best described as the soundtrack to the greatest movies and video games of the 80s and 90s... that never existed.
Their debut album, Mark I, released in 2018, set firm foundations for the trio to continue exploring the progressive synthwave landscape, with their second album currently in production.
